Short notes on topics discussed.<\/p>\n

1 – We began the next \u05d4\u05dc\u05db\u05d4 concerning items (money, food etc.) that are found in \u05d9\u05e8\u05d5\u05e9\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd in general and the \u05d4\u05e8 \u05d4\u05d1\u05d9\u05ea in particular.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u05d9\u05e8\u05d5\u05e9\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd was inhabited by locals and of course, hosted many visitors, especially during the \u05d9\u05de\u05d9 \u05d4\u05e8\u05d2\u05dc.<\/p>\n

Lost items, such as coins, were either \u05d7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d9\u05df<\/a> or \u05d4\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2- The \u05de\u05e9\u05e0\u05d4 defines three areas where these lost coins may be found. Each area has a different \u05d4\u05dc\u05db\u05d4.<\/p>\n

In the city of \u05d9\u05e8\u05d5\u05e9\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd, in the \u05d4\u05e8 \u05d4\u05d1\u05d9\u05ea and at the animal market place.<\/p>\n

\u05de\u05b8\u05e2\u05d5\u05b9\u05ea \u05e9\u05b6\u05c1\u05e0\u05b4\u05bc\u05de\u05b0\u05e6\u05b0\u05d0\u05d5\u05bc \u05dc\u05b4\u05e4\u05b0\u05e0\u05b5\u05d9 \u05e1\u05d5\u05b9\u05d7\u05b2\u05e8\u05b5\u05d9 \u05d1\u05b0\u05bc\u05d4\u05b5\u05de\u05b8\u05d4 \u05dc\u05b0\u05e2\u05d5\u05b9\u05dc\u05b8\u05dd \u05de\u05b7\u05e2\u05b2\u05e9\u05b5\u05c2\u05e8. \u05d5\u05bc\u05d1\u05b0\u05d4\u05b7\u05e8 \u05d4\u05b7\u05d1\u05b7\u05bc\u05d9\u05b4\u05ea \u05d7\u05d5\u05bc\u05dc\u05b4\u05bc\u05d9\u05df. \u05d5\u05bc\u05d1\u05b4\u05d9\u05e8\u05d5\u05bc\u05e9\u05b8\u05c1\u05dc\u05b4\u05b7\u05dd \u05d1\u05b4\u05e9\u05b0\u05c1\u05d0\u05b8\u05e8 \u05d9\u05b0\u05de\u05d5\u05b9\u05ea \u05d4\u05b7\u05e9\u05b8\u05bc\u05c1\u05e0\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d7\u05d5\u05bc\u05dc\u05b4\u05bc\u05d9\u05df \u05d5\u05bc\u05d1\u05b4\u05e9\u05b0\u05c1\u05e2\u05b7\u05ea \u05d4\u05b8\u05e8\u05b6\u05d2\u05b6\u05dc \u05d4\u05b7\u05db\u05b9\u05bc\u05dc \u05de\u05b7\u05e2\u05b2\u05e9\u05b5\u05c2\u05e8.<\/p>\n

MISHNAH: Coins found near vendors of animals always are \u05de\u05e2\u05e9\u05e8 money. On the \u05d4\u05e8 \u05d4\u05d1\u05d9\u05ea it\u2019s \u05d7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d9\u05df money. In Jerusalem, during the remainder of the year they are \u05d7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d9\u05df, during the holidays everything is \u05de\u05e2\u05e9\u05e8 .<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

3 – We discussed why coins found near the vendors of animals are assumed to be \u05de\u05e2\u05e9\u05e8, because they probably fell out of the pockets of the buyers.<\/p>\n

But why not assume that the sellers lost them? Once these animals are purchased, the money paid to the sellers becomes \u05d7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d9\u05df, so why is the assumption that these lost coins are \u05de\u05e2\u05e9\u05e8 money?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Tosfos in a few places writes that for every animal there were many buyers.<\/p>\n

\u05d5\u05d0\u05d5\u05e8\u05f4\u05d9 \u05d3\u05dc\u05d5\u05e7\u05d7\u05d9\u05dd \u05d4\u05d5\u05d5 \u05e8\u05d5\u05d1\u05d0 \u05d3\u05db\u05de\u05d4 \u05d1\u05e0\u05d9 \u05d0\u05d3\u05dd \u05e2\u05d5\u05de\u05d3\u05d9\u05dd \u05e2\u05dc \u05d1\u05d4\u05de\u05d4 \u05d0\u05d7\u05ea \u05dc\u05e7\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea.
\nWe tried to figure the meaning of these words? At the end of the day, all the money was transferred from the buyers to the sellers. So it\u2019s just as logical to say that it fell from the sellers.<\/p>\n

4 -The \u05de\u05e9\u05e0\u05d4 continues:<\/p>\n

Meat found in the Temple courtyard, limbs are \u05e2\u05d5\u05dc\u05d5\u05ea and cut pieces are \u05d7\u05d8\u05d0\u05ea; in Jerusalem \u05e9\u05dc\u05de\u05d9\u05dd . In either case it has to lose its shape and be taken out to be disposed of by burning (cannot be eaten).<\/p>\n

5 – If at the end of the day, all these pieces of meat needed to be left overnight and then burned, so what bother to figure out what \u05e7\u05e8\u05d1\u05df these came from? Just burn them the next day!<\/p>\n

We mentioned a rare \u05e8\u05de\u05d1\u201d\u05dd in the \u05d9\u05d3 \u05d4\u05d7\u05d6\u05e7\u05d4 that explains this \u05de\u05e9\u05e0\u05d4.<\/p>\n

5 – We discussed (also see this Shiur<\/a><\/em>) the issue of money that is found in a Shul. Does the Shul automatically gain ownership because of the money is in its \u05d7\u05e6\u05e8?<\/p>\n

The \u05de\u05d2\u05df \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d4\u05dd says that the Shul is not \u05e7\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 and quotes our \u05d2\u05de\u05e8\u05d0, that coins found on \u05d4\u05e8 \u05d4\u05d1\u05d9\u05ea does not automatically belong to \u05d4\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9 and the money actually becomes \u05d4\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9.<\/p>\n
