3 – We discussed an interesting question last week.<\/p>\n

The idea of 248 \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd is from the \u05de\u05e9\u05e0\u05d4 in \u05de\u05e1\u05db\u05ea \u05d0\u05d4\u05dc\u05d5\u05ea. – Chapter 1, 8 where all 248 are enumerated.<\/p>\n

These 248 are \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd that contain a bone. Ones without a bone are not counted.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

So when we say \u05e8\u05de\u201d\u05d7 \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd, we refer to \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd that contain a bone.<\/p>\n

Now the heart, lungs, kidneys, intestines and liver have no bones.<\/p>\n

Thus, when we make a \u05de\u05d9 \u05e9\u05d1\u05e8\u05da \u05dc\u05d7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d4 requesting a \u05e8\u05e4\u05d5\u05d0\u05d4 for this particular \u05d7\u05d5\u05dc\u05d4 for all <\/u><\/strong>his \u05e8\u05de\u201d\u05d7 \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd, we omit all the above:heart, lungs, kidneys, intestines and liver!!<\/p>\n

Why not say \u05db\u05dc \u05d0\u05d1\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd to include everything?<\/p>\n

Found so far one place <\/a>that tackles this question, but none that attempt to answer it.<\/p>\n

4 – Mentioned the two Chassidim that usually Davened slowly except when they were the \u05d7\u05d6\u05df in the presence of the Rebbe.<\/p>\n

When the Rebbe would say \u05e2\u05d5\u05e9\u05d4 \u05e9\u05dc\u05d5\u05dd, Rabbi Mentlick OH would simply start \u05d7\u05d6\u05e8\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u201d\u05e5 regardless of where he was up to….<\/p>\n

Reb Zalman Duchman would \u05dc\u05db\u05ea\u05d7\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4 say the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d5\u05ea of \u05e9\u05de\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 \u05e2\u05e9\u05e8\u05d4 like \u05ea\u05d9\u05e7\u05d5\u05df \u05dc\u05d9\u05dc \u05e9\u05d1\u05d5\u05e2\u05d5\u05ea\u2026.and even then, he barely finished on time – just as the Rebbe would be finishing \u05e9\u05de\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 \u05e2\u05e9\u05e8\u05d4\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

5 – Our \u05d2\u05de\u05e8\u05d0 discusses the \u05de\u05e0\u05d4\u05d2 of \u05d0\u05e8\u05e5 \u05d9\u05e9\u05e8\u05d0\u05dc not to say the 3rd \u05e4\u05e8\u05e9\u05d4 of \u05e6\u05d9\u05e6\u05d9\u05ea at \u05de\u05e2\u05e8\u05d9\u05d1.<\/p>\n

6 – Stopping in middle of \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d5\u05ea \u05e7\u05e8\u05d9\u05d0\u05ea \u05e9\u05de\u05e2. If one pauses for a period of the time that it takes him to say the entire \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d5\u05ea he may need start from the beginning. See detail in Alter Rebbe\u2019s Shulchan Aruch OC 65.<\/a><\/p>\n

Story of the fellow that ran into 770 looking for cash so that his car would not be towed. One of the \u05de\u05ea\u05e4\u05dc\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd offred to run home to fetch the amount of cash needed – and he ran out of \u05e9\u05d5\u05dc wearing his \u05d8\u05dc\u05d9\u05ea \u05d5\u05ea\u05e4\u05d9\u05dc\u05d9\u05df!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Since he performed this great \u05de\u05e6\u05d5\u05d5\u05d4 during \u05e7\u05e8\u05d9\u05d0\u05ea \u05e9\u05de\u05e2, upon returning there was a discussion whether he should continue from the place he left off or start from the beginning.<\/p>\n

7 -Topic of\u00a0 doing business with non-kosher food:<\/p>\n

The heter to sell non-kosher food applies only when it comes to a person by chance, b\u2019nizdamnu<\/em> (\u05e0\u05d6\u05d3\u05de\u05e0\u05d5).<\/p>\n

One example is a hunter who sets traps for kosher animals and finds a non-kosher animal caught in one. That is \u05e0\u05d6\u05d3\u05de\u05e0\u05d5.<\/p>\n

Another is the treifos (\u05d8\u05e8\u05d9\u05e4\u05d5\u05ea) that inevitably turn up in a kosher slaughterhouse.<\/p>\n

Related to this is the well-known ruling of the Taz, based on our Gemara, concerning the frum furriers of his day.<\/p>\n

One was forced to omit (in \u05e7\u05d3\u05d9\u05e9 ) the words \u05d5\u05b0\u05d9\u05b7\u05e6\u05b0\u05de\u05b7\u05d7 \u05e4\u05bc\u05d5\u05bc\u05e8\u05b0\u05e7\u05b8\u05e0\u05b5\u05d4\u05bc \u05d5\u05b4\u05d9\u05e7\u05b8\u05e8\u05b5\u05d1 \u05de\u05b0\u05e9\u05b4\u05c1\u05d9\u05d7\u05b5\u05d4\u05bc, so he paused and thought about the words and it\u2019s meaning.<\/p>\n
